Privacy policy
Papyrus is built around a local reading library. This page explains the limited cases where information leaves your device.

Local library
Books you import and your reading progress are stored on your device for the current app experience. Papyrus does not publish your reading activity or create a public reading profile.
Project Gutenberg search
When you search for or download a public-domain book, the request is sent to Gutendex, Project Gutenberg, or the download host for that file. Those services may receive your search query, IP address, and device network information under their own policies.
Purchases
Papyrus Pro purchases are processed by Apple and managed with RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives the purchase and customer information needed to determine whether Papyrus Pro access is active. Billing, cancellation, and refunds follow Apple App Store rules.
Reading data
Papyrus does not sell your reading activity. The current version does not use an account or cloud sync for your library. This policy will be updated before any future account or sync feature is introduced.
Files you choose
Papyrus accesses only the files you select for import. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to store and read files you add to the app.
